We are seeking an experienced Asbestos Environmental Inspector to work on projects throughout New York State.
Our ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience conducting asbestos and hazardous materials inspections and holds current Asbestos Inspector and Project Monitor Certifications.
A $3,000 signing bonus is being offered upon hire to those who meet these criteria.
Candidates with other related inspection experience will also be considered for the role.

*The Responsibilities:* * Conduct hazardous materials inspections, primarily for asbestos * Conduct lead-based paint inspections, risk assessments and clearance testing * Conduct mold and indoor air quality investigations and sampling * Provide complete and accurate project and technical data to others for compiling reports * Perform project monitoring and air sampling for asbestos, lead, mold, radon, heavy metals indoor air quality and other contaminants * Conduct clearance visual inspections to determine project completeness * Provide complete and accurate paperwork to project manager for review and comment * Occasionally assist with general administrative duties of the laboratory and office * Perform duties and special projects as assigned by management *The Requirements:* * 2+ years of experience conducting inspections or with asbestos and hazardous materials * Current Asbestos Inspector and Project Monitor Certifications preferred * Strong work ethic and high level of integrity; excellent communication and problem-solving skills * Ability and initiative to self-pace and manage daily workload while adapting quickly to changing situations * Ability to perform field work independently at various work site locations, work flexible hours and travel within Upstate New York * Reliable transportation with proof of required insurance and valid driver’s license * Ability to pass MVR (motor vehicle record) check, OSHA-required physical, and drug test * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
