*Job Summary: *As a key team member to the HR department of Just for Kids School-Age Programs, the HR Coordinator is responsible for providing generalist human resource services and support to include employee relations, legal compliance, recordkeeping and reporting, leave management, training and professional development, performance management, culture and engagement and administrative HR functions.
*Essential Functions:*
* Implements and administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; prepares and maintains employee handbook, creates and maintains job descriptions, monitors standard operating procedures for all staff
* Creates and monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary
* Develops and maintains records, reports, and logs for federal and state regulation
* Maintains all employee files, and assists with file audits as requested
* Handles and advises on employee relations, handles staff-related issues and concerns, terminations and exit interviews
* Works in conjunction with the Payroll Specialist using the Paylocity HRIS system
* Maintains HR metrics, data, SOP’s and reports
* Supports benefits administration for eligible Just for Kids employees
* Actively participates as a team member of the Just for Kids HR department, including helping with and/or planning and facilitating new employee onboarding, orientations, trainings, retention initiatives, etc.
* Other duties as requested
*Educational and/or Experience Requirements:*
* Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, or related field (preferred)
* 2 years’ experience as an HR generalist
* PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certified (preferred)

* Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook
* Working knowledge of Paylocity payroll / HRIS platform

* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
* Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
