Empire State University is currently seeking an Employee Education Program Coordinator (Research Foundation Title: Project Staff Associate).
The Employee Education Program Coordinator, a position employed through the Research Foundation (RF) for the state of New York, will report to the on-site Project Coordinator.
Both the Employee Education Program Coordinator and the Project Coordinator are overseen by the Principal Investigator of the project award at Empire State University.
The position is a full-time appointment subject to renewed annual grant funding and includes full-time benefits as applicable.
The Employee Education Program Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of the Employee Education Program (EEP) for eligible employees of Erie County Department of Social Services (DSS).
The EEP supports employees in their professional and personal development goals towards degree attainment and advancement opportunities within Erie County DSS.
Eligible employees may complete college level coursework towards an associate, bachelor's and/or master's degree in the areas of management and/or a human service or social work-related discipline through participating institutions of higher education.
The selected incumbent will deliver information sessions to employees who are interested in applying for EEP, provide support with the application process, and assist individuals who are accepted into the program with the registration process at the institution of higher education.
Information sessions may be delivered face-to-face at two locations and/or at a distance using a web conferencing platform.
The selected incumbent will also serve as liaison between Erie County Department of Social Services (DSS) and participating higher education institutions with internal/external program assistance, student status, and grade reports.
The Employee Education Program Coordinator will work as part of a team to coordinate EEP project operations as well as provide support to the Project Coordinator to ensure timely completion of assignments and milestones to meet deadlines across institutions.
They will assist EEP participants affiliated with the National Child Welfare Workforce Institute MSW Program; coordinate onboarding for Erie County DSS interns within EEP; and monitor participation in the program through regular check-ins with field supervisors.
The selected incumbent will also prepare quarterly reports, forms, and promotional materials for EEP as well as assist with collection, analysis and evaluation of data related to recruitment and retention.
They will work with DSS employees to coordinate special projects and determine skill set development of program participants who are graduates of the EEP program.
Job Requirements: Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Adult Education, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in higher education and/or employee education programs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficient in utilizing web conferencing, Zoom, and/or Microsoft Teams for distance meetings.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate with administrative offices and external agencies and partners.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effectively interact and work with others from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Human Services, Adult Education, or a related field.
Experience with adult learning, higher education, and/or employee education programs.
Experience working in local Social Services districts, Human Services agencies, and/or institutions of higher education.
Special Information: This position requires regular travel between Cheektowaga and downtown Buffalo offices.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift articles up to 70 lbs.

Additional Information: Rank/Salary: $53,000-$55,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.
