Overview:
We are looking for someone to start with us as a straight truck driver to tackle a specific project for a few months and then transition as a general laborer once the project is over.
However, this person would also be a back up driver when needed.
Our trucks do not require any special license but experience driving a 26 foot box truck is required.
Rate is $18/hour and will remain that whether on the truck or in another role in the warehouse.
The driving position requires drivers to be able to palletize, wrap and prepare the customers equipment for transport and operate a 26-foot straight truck to service customers in the surrounding areas.
Customer service skills are a must.
This position will be contract for approx.
520 hours but if your attendance, attitude, and performance is strong you will transition to full time.

Hours are Monday – Friday, 8AM – 4:30 but may need to flex some, depending on customers’ needs.
Qualifications:
Clean Class D license, Class B CDL is preferred
High School degree or equivalent.
Experienced forklift driver
Preferred Skills:
Minimum of 3 years driving skills.
CDL is not required, but preferred
EXCELLENT customer service skills.

T regulations.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to get in and out of trucks several times a day.
Work Environment:
Work and drive in all weather conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Will need to palletize scrap electronics, load and unload the truck in most, if not all, cases.
Conduct a daily pre-trip and post-trip inspection
Check load before leaving to ensure that the proper supplies are loaded.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance and attitude
Work with Logistics Manger to ensure proper scheduling.
Report any truck defects or problems to Logistics Manager.
Make sure truck is chocked at any dock locations.
Responsible to load and unload the truck using a forklift or pallet jack.
Responsible for maneuvering truck at customer’s site in a safe and accident-free manner at all times.
Dialing, holding mobile phone to ear and texting while driving is not permitted.
Safety is a priority, follow all safety rules and always wear appropriate PPE, look for opportunities to improve safety.
Other Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean and organized truck.
40-hour work week.
