JOB DESCRIPTION:
Drivers transport staff and patients to and from designated pick-up and drop-off sites utilizing a company-owned vehicle.
This includes ensuring safety rules and acceptable behavior are followed and completing required paperwork.
This individual will also assist the Maintenance Department by performing duties to maintain a safe, clean, secure environment within the facility and its grounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transportation of employees and patients' in a safe and timely manner in a company van
Performs assigned duties under established procedures and policies to ensure that a successful and viable transportation program is always maintained.
Responsible for oversight of vehicle service and maintenance schedules
Manages schedules and appointments appropriately
Provides maintenance management through regular equipment inspections while upholding facility maintenance inspection processes and procedures
Attends to all daily maintenance requests for each department when not driving employees/patients.
Employee will also be responsible for maintenance work while not driving.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid Driver's License
Excellent customer service skills; cheerful and pleasant demeanor
Able to work with tools, ladders, and maintenance supplies as directed
Able to work under minimum supervision while cooperating with departmental heads and other staff members
Problem-solving skills in maintenance requests
Good physical strength for heavy lifting and other related tasks
Ability to read and understand work assignments, as well as report verbally and provide written documentation as necessary
Respect for residents’ privacy and rights; display of genuine concern and empathy for the elderly
Ability to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness
Willingness to maintain HIPAA privacy, security, and confidentiality standards
Qualities of responsibility, diplomacy, and a keen sense of direction
