Truck Driver/ Product Delivery

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Quaker Millwork & Lumber has an immediate need for a Truck Driver/ Product Delivery person.
Quaker Millwork is a full service custom millwork company that has been supplying the Western New York area for over 30 years.
We pride ourselves on catering to the customer in every aspect of the construction project, and the quality of our work has earned us accolades throughout Western New York.
The right person for this opportunity will be able to work in a fast paced work environment, loading products on trucks, delivering products to the customer, and unloading the products.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* * Delivering products to customers at a variety of places as instructed.
* Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of outgoing product and deliveries.
* Loading and unloading product on trucks.
* Load product on to shelves in Material Handling Shed.
* Communicating and coordinating with dispatch at home base.
* Comply with all safe work practices, policies and processes at all times.
* Obeying and following applicable traffic laws.
* Additional tasks assigned by Shipping Supervisor.
* Follow company drug and alcohol policies.

*Skills:* * Ability to speak, read and write English to enable proper communication with customers and staff and complete paperwork correctly.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
* Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
* Ability to review data, draw conclusions and make suggestions based on data.
* Strong knowledge of safety regulations, and be familiar with local traffic laws * A clean driving record.
* Physical fitness, since Truck Drivers are required to pass a physical exam every two years * Hand-eye coordination, since they must coordinate their hands, legs and eyes to maintain a fast reaction time on the roads * Visual and hearing acuity and the ability to distinguish the colors of traffic lights Quaker Millwork’s success is a team effort, and the right employee will understand the role their contributions will play in that success.
The position offers full time hours, but the ability to work occasional overtime as needed is strongly preferred.
