QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid NYS certification in Elementary B-6
Experience teaching elementary
Experience with the implementation of the Common Core standards, NYSE ELA and Math Modules, and instructional strategies.
Experience implementing Common Core aligned units, lessons, and assessments
Effective classroom management skills, demonstrated knowledge of curriculum, including planning, execution, and evaluation of materials, supplies, and lessons.
Strong math and literacy background
Character traits necessary to teach young children - enthusiasm, warmth, and dedication
Ability to differentiate instruction
Strong communication and teaming skills
Technology skills
Lifelong learner
DUTIES: Teaching Grade 5 or 6 ELA, Math, Social Studies and/or Science
