Up for grabs are two great vintage compressor/limiters.
First up: Shure SE30 *Smash*
This 3 channel ex-broadcast preamp/mixer/compressor/limiter has many tricks up it’s sleeve.
First, the preamp section features the famously mod-able Shure M67/M68 discrete, transformer balanced circuit.
Used on countless recordings, most famously at Woodstock, these preamps are punchy, colorful, and filled with gain!
But wait, that’s not all!
The compressor/limiter is INCREDIBLE.
Basically, the same compressor circuit as the Shure Level-Loc made infamous by Tame Impala and Chris Lorde Alge.
Bonus in use as a great effect for that backwards cymbal Ringo sound!
Steve Miller Band vocals, and so much more.
$600
Next: DOD R-825 *Grab*
This 80’s sleeper is sure to please!
A VCA compressor that features the same DBX VCA as the 160A PLUS a great de-Esser that functions more like a multi-band compressor.
This is a KILLER piece that will work like a well mannered Aphex and bites like a vintage DBX.
$200
Both worked well before being put in storage a few years back, could use a bit of De-Toxit.
Pickup in the WNY area.
Buy both for $600!
