*PURPOSE*
Perform a wide variety of accounting duties.
Review and analyze the general ledger, input journal entries, prepare financial statements and prepare various financial work sheets.
*MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES*
* Prepare journal entries and reports of variance to standard, manufacturing labor statistics and variances, inventory levels and sales orders, inventory levels compared to forecast.
* Analyze differences between actual Sales and Cost of Sales to forecast.
* Prepare and analyze Sales and Cost of Sales reports by customer and product type.
* Load prices on new catalog items and change prices on other parts to comply to published pricing lists.
* Set standard costs and ensure variances to standard cost are properly accounted for in the Strippit accounting system.
* Load standard cost for new parts into the standard cost system.
Ensure that parts with production requirements have Engineering BOM’s (Bill of Materials), labor routings and specified lot sizes.
* Prepare and distribute daily operating report.
* Prepare and distribute financial statements to senior staff.
* Complete government surveys.
* Process duty drawback reimbursement.
* Assist the Corporate Controller in the planning and reporting of the monthly cycle counting of inventory, the annual Business Plan and year end reporting.
* Assist the Corporate Controller with bank audits and financial statement audits.
* Prepare reconciliation reports for parent company and subsidiaries.
* Perform other duties assigned as necessary.
*EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS*
*Education / Experience*
· Four (4) year Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
· Zero (0) to Three (3) years of experience in analytical accounting (problem solving, implementing process improvements)

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Able to collaborate and interact with others
· Analytical skills
*Technical skills / Special requirements*
· Maintain up to date knowledge of cost accounting practices.
· Demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft office environment, Work, Excel, e-mail, internal network)
· Work environment will consist of a regular office setting with occasional exposure to a manufacturing setting.
· No other employees directly report to this position.
